ATHE Level 4 Certificate, Diploma, Extended Diploma in Management (QCF) ATHE is a nationally recognised awarding body regulated by Ofqual. The ATHE Level 4 Certificate in Management  consists of two units, can be completed in eight weeks and is at the same level as a first year undergraduate degree programme. Students completing this programme could claim partial exemption from the first year of a related undergraduate degree. Alternatively, students can progress onto the ATHE Level 4 Diploma in Management The Diploma in Management  consists of four units, which can be completed in 15 weeks. Successful completion could allow partial exemption from the first year of a related undergraduate programme or students could decide to study the ATHE Level 4 Extended Diploma in Management. The Extended Diploma in Management is comprised of eight units, can be completed in 30 weeks, is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree. Following completion of the programme, students can progress onto the second year of a related undergraduate degree. Students should make their own enquiries about college and university entry requirements and exemptions, since criteria vary. ATHE Level 7 Award,  Certificate, Diploma in Strategic Management (QCF) ATHE is a nationally recognised awarding body, which is regulated by Ofqual. The ATHE Level 7 Award, Certificate, Diploma in Strategic Management can be studied by blended or distance learning. The programme is at Level 7, which is the same level of difficulty as a Masters Degree. Successful completion of the Award and Certificate could make students eligible for partial exemption from a related Masters Degree or postgraduate programme. Alternatively, students can progress onto the Diploma. Completion of the Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management makes students eligible to enter a top-up Masters Degree at a selection of universities with which ATHE has articulation agreements (see: http://atheuk.com/progression- routes/). If students are interested in progressing to Masters Degree programmes at other colleges or universities, they should make their own enquiries, since entry criteria vary. Edexcel BTEC Level 5 HND Diploma in Business (by    e-learning, distance learning or blended learning) The BTEC HND in Business is equivalent to the second year of an undergraduate degree programme. It is available for study at ETC via e-learning, distace learning or blended learning. It can be completed in 18 - 36 months depending on how much tie is allocated to studying it. The BTEC HND in Business is assignment based and is vocationally relevant. There are no examinations and the programme provides students with a practical basis for further study in business or management related programmes or to enter work. A range of assessment methods are used across the sixteen units of the BTEC HND in Business; the methods used depend on the mode of study. Students completing the BTEC HND in Business can progress onto a third / final year of a related degree at several universities or to a top-up degree in Business. OCR Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) (Level 3) Whether you’re an existing or aspiring trainer, instructor, teacher or lecturer delivering courses or training to those aged over 16, the OCR PTLLS Level 3  qualification is a mark of quality and evidences your ability to plan, prepare, deliver and assess learners / trainees. The PTLLS Level 3 qualification is awarded by OCR (ETC is an approved OCR centre, authorised to deliver PTLLS, CTLLS & DTLLS qualificatons). OCR is one of the largest awarding bodies in the UK. A Level 3 qualification is at the same level an A level. ETC also offers PTLLS Level 4, but recommends PTLLS Level 3  if your academic standard is not high or you lack experience of teaching or training. The PTLLS Level 3 course is planned, developed and delivered across five days by the Director and Principal of ETC, who has been in the education and training sector since 1996 (click here to read his profile). The course is assessed by written assignments, presentations, role play and a micro-teach session of 15 - 45 minutes to fellow students. There are no examinations. You will be supplied with learning materials and assignments during the five day course. You will be provided with extensive guidance on how to research and complete the assignments. Following the five day course, you will be given time to complete and submit your assignments. These will be assessed and feedback provided. If you need to make improvements or require further guidance, you can arrange an appointment to talk and/or meet with your tutor. Edexcel BTEC Level 4 HNC Diploma in Business The BTEC HNC in Business is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree programme. It can be studied in one year full-time or two years part-time. ETC is currently offering it as a two year part-time programme, but can also offer it as a one year full-time programme depending on student demand. The BTEC HNC in Business is assignment based and is vocationally relevant. In other words, there are no examinations and the programme provides students with a practical basis for further study in business or management related programmes or to enter work. A range of assessment methods are used for the BTEC HNC in Business, including written reports, presentations, role play, timed assessments and case studies. Students completing the BTEC HNC in Business can progress onto a second year of a related degree or to the second year of a BTEC HND in Business with ETC. Edexcel BTEC Level 4 HNC Diploma in Computing and Systems Development The BTEC HNC in Computing and Systems Development is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree course Students can study it in one year full-time or two years part-time. ETC is currently offering the programme on a two years part- time basis, but can also offer it as on a one year full-time basis depending on student demand. The BTEC HNC in Computing and Systems Development is assignment based and is vocationally relevant. In other words, there are no examinations and the programme provides students with a practical grounding for further study in computing or IT related programmes or to enter work. The programme units are oriented towards the internet and e-commerce, which continues to be an area of growth. A range of assessment methods are used for the BTEC HNC in Computing and Systems Development, including designing and testing an interactive website, written reports, presentations, role play, timed assessments and case studies. Students completing the BTEC HNC in Computing and Systems Development can progress onto a second year of a related degree or to the second year of a BTEC HND in Computing and Systems Development with ETC. Assuming that there is adequate student demand, ETC will offer the BTEC HND in Computing and Systems Development on a part- time or full-time basis. The BTEC HNC in Computing and Systems Development  consists of eight units, while the BTEC HND in Computing and Systems Development consists of sixteen units. Future Awards and Qualifications Level 2 Award in Equality and Diversity (QCF) Equality and Diversity are important concepts in the work place and in the education and training sectors. The Equality Act 2010 has extended the scope of equality and diversity. In addition, organisations responsible for inspection (e.g. Ofsted, ISI), review (e.g. QAA), accreditation (e.g. BAC, British Council), and issuing awards (e.g. Edexcel, OCR, AQA) require evidence of policies, procedures and implementation of equality and diversity. The Level 2 Award in Equality and Diversity is a nationally recognised short course, which can be completed within one to three weeks of your own time. The course is delivered by blended learning. This means that you will meet your course tutor initially to discuss the course, its requirements and how to complete it. You will be provided with learning materials and references to relevant sources of information. You can contact your tutor by telephone or e-mail or meet face-to-face to discuss your progress and for feedback. The Level 2 Award in Equality and Diversity can be combined with a number of other programmes, including teaching programmes, such as PTLLS. It complements two of the PTLLS  units. ATHE Level 6 Award in Leading Organisational Equality and Diversity (QCF) Equality and Diversity are important concepts in the work place and at leadership level. The Equality Act 2010 has extended the scope of equality and diversity, while inspection, review, accreditation and awarding bodies require evidence of plans, policies, procedures and practices to demonstrate application of equality and diversity. The Level 6 Award in Leading Organisational Equality and Diversity is a short programme worth 10 credits, which can be comfortably completed within two months of part-time study. The programme is assignment based. The assignment will focus on your organisation and so is vocationally relevant and its findings can be applied to the workplace or at least inform improvements or enhancement to workplace practices. The Level 6 Award in leading Organisational Equality and Diversity is issued by ATHE, which is a nationally recognised awarding body regulated by Ofqual. The programme is delivered by blended learning or by distance learning. Blended learning includes meetings with the tutor, telephone discussions and verbal and written guidance and feedback during the course of the programme.
